Driving Employee Engagement and Impact on Giving Tuesday 2024

At Percent Pledge, our mission this year was simple: engage more employees in meaningful and creative ways while empowering them to make a difference. Giving Tuesday 2024—and the week surrounding it—showed just how much progress we’ve made.

Our partner companies, like Armis, OpenX, Customer.io, and more, leaned into our tools to rally their teams around causes that matter to them. Together, they created powerful campaigns that drove incredible participation and impact.

From the start of the year, we’ve prioritized employee engagement in every feature we developed. One standout innovation was our Campaigns feature, enabling companies to launch custom campaigns that rally employees around causes they care about—whether for the holidays or other important moments. This feature has transformed how teams engage, and it’s working.

Several companies launched holiday giving campaigns and engaged large portions of their teams. For example, DRW used the launched a Holiday Giving Campaign and surpassed their donation goal by 27%. Even more impressively, they grew their total dollar donations by 86%, showing the power of engaging employees with the right tools to drive participation and impact.

Incredible and impactful results

This year’s Giving Tuesday results reflect the power of workplace engagement:

  • During the Week of Giving Tuesday, user participation nearly doubled year over year with an 87% increase, and the number of charities impacted grew by 67%.
  • On Giving Tuesday itself, user participation grew by 32%, and charities impacted rose by nearly 29%.

These numbers represent more than just statistics—they highlight the employees, charities, and communities coming together to make a difference. And because Percent Pledge doesn’t charge any donation fees, every dollar raised went directly to the charities themselves. Unlike competitors who charge up to 3% in donation fees, we ensure that all funds go to the nonprofits on the front lines, delivering essential services and creating meaningful change.
